Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced VAPT resource to join our team for an onsite project lasting 3 months. As a VAPT resource, you will be responsible for conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities within our organization’s systems and networks. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the security posture of our organization and gain valuable hands-on experience in VAPT.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on various systems, networks, and applications.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential risks through testing and analysis.
- Conduct manual and automated security testing, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and ethical hacking.
- Collaborate with the development and operations teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.
- Prepare comprehensive reports outlining identified vulnerabilities, potential risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and exploits to enhance the effectiveness of testing activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- Strong knowledge of common network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Familiarity with security tools such as Nessus, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark, etc.
- Experience in conducting manual and automated security testing and vulnerability scanning.
- Proficiency in using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to identify vulnerabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document findings and communicate with stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) are desirable.
